About Us

Established in 1963 by Old Mr. Han, Han Jia Bak Kut Teh has a storied history that began with a humble alleyway stall in MacPherson. After finding its permanent home at East Coast Lagoon Food Village, it’s now in the capable hands of the second generation, led by Mr. Han’s son, a former engineer turned culinary innovator. Our signature peppery and herbal based Bak Kut Teh earned it’s place among the ‘Top 10 Bak Kut Teh’ establishments in the City Hawker Food Hunt of 2011. Today, we aim to blend tradition and innovation, inviting you to savor our herbal and peppery flavors, a culmination of decades of passion and dedication.
